Borrow Airtime on MTN Ghana with MTN Extra-Time
MTN Extra time allows MTN Ghana subscribers to borrow airtime credit and pay back later, using an overdraft amount based on their spend and the no. of years on MTN.
You can borrow credit via SMS by simply sending Start to 1506 and follow the prompts.

- Open your Phone Dialpad
Open your phone dialer like you want to make a call.
- Dial Short Code
To borrow more talk time, dial *506#.
- Select Amount
Select the amount of airtime you want to borrow by entering the option number on the input box.
Kindly note, you will be charged 10% of every amount you borrow (i.e 0.1p from every GH¢1 you loan from MTN). If you have a negative credit balance (e.g –GH¢1), corresponding amount will be deducted on your next recharge.
